As a private pilot I see a bit of a procedural issue in the opening. The tower clears them to land on "runway 1 Right, winds 2-8-zero at one-niner", meaning the winds were blowing from magnetic heading 280, west to east. This means the plane is lining up to land with a direct 90-degree crosswind instead of landing on the more obvious runway 28 (left or right, take your pick) which would face them directly into a headwind, exactly what you want for landing. The two Runway 28s are considerably longer than the two Runway 1s which would have given the plane more room to have a landing gear malfunction. Their presumed "emergency" was faulty landing gear so it's not like they were out of fuel and had to land immediately so they had time to line up for runway 28. If there are any commercial pilots out there who can provide a reasonable explanation, let me know. (Wait...were the tower controllers in on the gag??)

Fridge-A-Lert: fucking genius. I do not like today's toilet humor. This show always makes me LMAO, all I need for humor. Ripping on B movies, they do, and no one is safe! Although long now gone, I was an MST3K member, subsribed to their newsletter, "The Polymer." Along with updates on the show, they alerted you to watch, on upcoming episodes, what they called "MST Poopies," bloopers. Keep in mind, this was before the Internet was a thing. Still though, great times! Being Episode 420, during the Invention Exchange, I swear Frank and Forrester were smoking weed. Case of the sillies, indeed. Beanie chopper and a Fridge-A-Lert? Yeah, marijuana was involved. "William Conrad stealing your food?? Maybe Quinn Martin, but he's dead!" LMAOOOO..!!! The Human Duplicators and King Dinosaur--my fave MST episodes. They ripped on everything and everyone on those two.
